ABOUT
In 1998, Monique Roussel and André Martineau imported the first dairy sheep from Europe. The family had been raising meat sheep since 1992 but wanted to specialize in cheese production and manufacturing. Production began modestly, and Sieur de Duplessis was born the following year, taking its name from the old seigneury where the cheese dairy is located.
In November 2005 , Monique and André opened Les Gourmandes in the former Highfield Square Centre to better serve the Moncton clientele. Les Gourmandes offers a wide selection of products ranging from chocolates, crackers, Première Moisson breads and more.
Today, we continue to offer our local cheeses, such as Geai Bleu and Le Champ Doré.
In December 2024, Stéphane and Hugo, two Frenchmen, took over from the Founders by buying Les Gourmandes and becoming La Maison Des Saveurs, offering the same excellent products.
